Many of our clients worry that they need a fancy account or special computer skills to join a video call. The good news? You don’t need an account at all. You can join as a "Guest" in just a few clicks.
💻 Joining on Your Computer (No Setup Needed)
If you have a laptop or a computer with a camera, this is the easiest way to join.
Open Your Email: Find the invitation we sent you.
Click the Link: Look for the blue words that say "Join Microsoft Teams Meeting" and click them.
Choose the Browser: A page will open asking how you want to join. Click the button that says "Continue on this browser." You don't need to download or install anything!
Say "Yes" to the Camera: A small box might appear at the top of your screen asking to use your microphone and camera. Click "Allow" or "Yes."
Type Your Name: Type your name into the box so we know it’s you, then click the big "Join Now" button.
📱 Joining on Your Phone or Tablet
If you prefer using your phone or an iPad, follow these quick steps:
Get the App: Go to your app store (the place where you get new games or tools) and search for "Microsoft Teams." It’s a free app with a purple icon. Download it once.
Go to Your Email: Open our invitation on your phone and tap the "Join" link.
Join as Guest: The app will open automatically. Tap the button that says "Join as a guest." 4. Type and Join: Type your name and tap "Join meeting."
❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is Microsoft Teams free for me to use? Yes! You do not need to pay to join our meetings. As long as you have an internet connection, joining as a guest is completely free.
Do I need to create a Microsoft account or a password? No. You can join as a Guest. You don’t need to remember a username or a password. Just click the link, type your name, and you are in!
Is it safe to use? Yes. Our meetings are private. Only people with the specific link in their email can join the conversation.
What if I can’t see or hear you? Look for the Microphone and Camera icons on your screen. If they have a line through them, click them once to turn them on. Also, make sure your device volume is turned up!
What if I get disconnected? Don't panic! Simply go back to your email and click the "Join Microsoft Teams Meeting" link again. It will bring you right back to us.

The "Lobby" is a Waiting Room: After you click join, you might see a message saying "Someone will let you in soon." This is normal! Stay right there and we will see you shortly.
Check Your Lighting: Try to sit with a lamp in front of you, rather than a bright window behind you. This helps us see your face clearly.
Find a Quiet Spot: Background noise (like a TV) can make it hard for everyone to hear. A quiet room is best.
